AICTE partners with 1M 1B Green Skills Academy to launch ‘green internship program’

New Delhi: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has partnered with 1M 1B Green Skills Academy, a program under the 1M 1B Foundation, to launch Green Internships to promote and nurture climate talent.

Notable features of the internship include:

• Learning through hands-on projects, data analysis, and gamified assessments in areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, waste management, and carbon footprint reduction.

• Engagement of interns in live projects to transform their educational campuses into green campuses.

• Interns will conduct audits, develop energy-saving strategies, design zero-waste systems, and support institutions meeting their Net Zero Goals.

The internship program aligns with the standards of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) which promotes sustainability in the educational setting. Under the program, interns will also receive mentorship from industry experts to develop their knowledge of sustainability and data-driven climate action.
