Swiggy Appoints Akanksha Jain as AVP-Public Relations & Communications

Bengaluru: Swiggy has announced the appointment of Akanksha Jain as its new Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Public Relations and Communications, signaling a strategic move to strengthen its communications and branding efforts in the fast-paced food delivery and technology sector.

Jain brings more than 18 years of extensive experience in brand reputation management across Indian and global markets. Her expertise spans strategic communications, crisis management, and thought leadership, making her a valuable addition to Swiggy’s leadership team. Prior to joining Swiggy, Jain had an impactful four-year tenure at BharatPe as the Head of Public Relations and Corporate Communications. She played a pivotal role in establishing the fintech startup as a leading player in the industry. Reflecting on her time at BharatPe in a LinkedIn post, she highlighted the challenges and milestones, including raising awareness for the young brand and steering it through critical crises. Her collaboration with leaders such as Suhail Sameer and Nalin Negi was instrumental in executing bold and effective communication strategies.

Jain’s professional journey also includes leadership roles at MobiKwik and Pine Labs, where she spearheaded public relations and content marketing initiatives. A gold medalist graduate from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Jain has also completed executive programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Columbia Business School.

Her appointment at Swiggy highlights the company’s commitment to enhancing its public relations and communication strategies as it navigates the competitive and evolving food delivery market.
