Mumbai: Reliance Power Ltd, owned by Anil Ambani, has announced the appointment of Neeraj Parakh as its new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company’s Board of Directors approved the appointment for a three-year term.
With 29 years of professional experience, including over two decades at Reliance, Neeraj has been instrumental in delivering major projects such as Yamuna Nagar, Hisar, Rosa, Sasan, Butibori, and Damodar Valley Corporation. He has also led renewable energy initiatives, including Solar PV and Solar CSP projects.
Neeraj has been associated with the Reliance Group for 21 years, joining in June 2004 as an Additional Manager in the Central Technical Services team at Reliance Infrastructure (Reliance Infra). Over the years, he has steadily taken on more challenging roles, expanding his expertise across various domains.
Neeraj’s early contributions focused on planning, project monitoring, technical services, and project execution. He subsequently took on operations and maintenance roles within both Reliance Power and Reliance Infra. His experience further broadened through responsibilities in the Central Procurement Group and Indirect Taxation, equipping him with diverse skills in technology, commercial operations, and taxation.
Neeraj’s extensive experience and leadership are expected to drive Reliance Power’s growth and strategic initiatives in the energy sector.
