Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has launched the Global Capability Center (GCC) Policy 2025 to attract multinational corporations (MNCs) and strengthen the state’s position as a technology and digital hub. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the policy ahead of a global investment summit, where he will present the plan to investors and industry leaders.
Key Highlights of the GCC Policy 2025
The policy aims to bring global IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) companies to Madhya Pradesh by offering incentives and infrastructure support. It focuses on:
- Investment Promotion: Creating a business-friendly ecosystem to encourage IT and digital investments.
- Employment Generation: Facilitating job opportunities in technology and outsourcing sectors.
- Infrastructure Development: Strengthening digital infrastructure to support MNCs in setting up operations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the upcoming summit on February 24, where the policy will be formally introduced to global investors. The initiative is part of the state’s broader plan to position itself as an emerging technology destination in India.
Strategic Focus on Technology and Workforce
The government aims to provide skill development programs to create a talent pool for GCCs. Partnerships with universities and training institutes are also expected to support workforce readiness.
While Madhya Pradesh has traditionally been known for its manufacturing and agriculture sectors, the GCC Policy 2025 signals a shift towards a digital and knowledge-based economy. The success of the policy will depend on the state’s ability to attract investment and build a sustainable technology ecosystem.
