Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has transferred seven IAS officers in a recent reshuffle affecting multiple departments. The changes, aimed at streamlining governance, place senior bureaucrats in new roles across education, taxation, healthcare, and local administration.
Key Appointments and Transfers
Rajendra Nimbalkar (IAS, 2007 batch) has been appointed as the Managing Director of SARATHI, Pune. He was previously serving as the Managing Director of MSSIDC, Mumbai.
Sanjay Yadav (IAS, 2009 batch), who was the Collector of Mumbai City, has been reassigned as the State Project Director for Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Mumbai, a central government initiative focused on school education reform.
Dr. Rajendra Bharud (IAS, 2013 batch) has been transferred from his role as Commissioner of TRTI, Pune, to take charge as Project Director of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) under the Higher & Technical Education Department in Mumbai.
Sameer Kurtkoti (IAS, 2013 batch) replaces Bharud as the new Commissioner of TRTI, Pune.
Deepak Kumar Meena (IAS, 2013 batch), who was serving as Additional Tribal Commissioner in Thane, has been shifted to Mumbai as the Joint Commissioner for State Tax.
Changes in Healthcare and Local Administration
Mahesh Awhad (IAS, 2015 batch), previously the Managing Director of Haffkine Bio-Pharma Corporation, Mumbai, has been appointed as the CEO of Maharashtra Medical Goods Procurement Authority, Mumbai. In this role, he will oversee procurement and supply chain operations for medical goods in the state.
Keerthi Kiran Pujar (IAS, 2018 batch), earlier the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Ratnagiri, has been appointed as the Collector of Dharashiv. She will now handle administrative operations and governance in the district.
