Mumbai: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced the appointment of Gayatri Yadav as the Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Executive Vice President (EVP) of Strategic Initiatives. In her new role, she joins the Chairman’s Office, working closely with Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, Anant Ambani, and key members of the Executive Committee. She will focus on amplifying brand impact, driving innovation, and strengthening consumer engagement across RIL’s diverse businesses.
Gayatri brings over three decades of experience in marketing, brand management, and consumer strategy. Before joining RIL, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA), where she played a crucial role in shaping the firm’s brand and communications strategy.
Her career also includes an eight-year tenure at Star TV Network, where she held key leadership positions, including President of Consumer Strategy & Innovation and EVP of Marketing & Communications. She played a pivotal role in consumer insights, branding, and content strategy, helping strengthen the company’s market leadership.
Beyond the media and investment sectors, Gayatri has worked with General Mills and Procter & Gamble in senior marketing roles, gaining global expertise in consumer branding and product innovation. Apart from her corporate leadership, she is actively involved in social impact initiatives, serving on the boards of the Paani Foundation, United Way Mumbai, and PRS Legislative Research.
With her vast experience in brand building and strategic initiatives, Gayatri’s appointment is expected to further elevate Reliance’s market positioning and drive its next phase of consumer-centric growth.
