Mumbai: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has announced the appointment of Rajneesh Narang as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Narang, who currently serves as Director (Finance) of the company, replaces K Vinod, who was appointed as CFO in September 2024.
A chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Narang also holds a master’s degree in Financial Management.
He brings with him over three decades of extensive experience in the downstream oil sector, having handled key responsibilities in corporate finance, treasury, risk management, marketing finance, budgeting, SBU commercial, and refinery projects.
Narang has a long association with HPCL. He previously served as CFO from 22 March 2022, to 10 September 2024 before assuming additional roles within the company.
Apart from being Director (Finance) since March 2022, he also held the additional charge of Director (HR) from May 2022 to April 2023 and served as Chairman & Managing Director (C&MD) from September 2024 to March 2025.
With his appointment, HPCL aims to strengthen its financial strategy and operational efficiency as it continues to expand in India’s energy sector. His vast expertise in financial management and strategic decision-making is expected to drive the company’s growth in the evolving energy landscape.
