Siliguri: The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) of North Bengal University has installed two advanced hybrid teaching and learning interfaces for the students.
The project was undertaken with the financial assistance of the University Grants Commission (UGC), making it the only centre in North Bengal with such a facility. This centre was previously called the Human Resource Development Centre of North Bengal University.
The centre has now turned into a hub where physical and digital learning go hand in hand. Both students and teachers are now attending classes, seminars or workshops conducted by any University department from anywhere in the country.
The hybrid systems allow real-time interaction and access to recordings later. This increases flexibility and inclusivity in higher education.
Post-deployment of the system has improved attendance and engagement. The in-person and online learning experiences have created a more engaging educational environment.
Departments across the university are using the facility to host webinars, national and international workshops and collaborative academic projects.
