Chandigarh, June 5 2026: The Haryana Government has assigned IAS Anurag Rastogi with the additional charge of Chief Commissioner of the Haryana Right to Service Commission.
According to an order issued on June 4, Rastogi will assume the charge with immediate effect and will continue to hold the post until any further orders.
Anurag Rastogi is a 1990-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre. He is currently serving as the Chief Secretary of Haryana.
He has more than 35 years of administrative experience. Over the years, he has served at several key positions in the state government.
He has held positions as Deputy Commissioner of Panipat and Hisar. He also served as Principal Secretary in the Excise and Taxation Department for over nine years.
Between 2021 and 2024, he served as Additional Chief Secretary and handled important departments, including Finance and Planning, Excise and Taxation, and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
Role of the Right to Service Commission
The Haryana Right to Service Commission was set up to ensure transparency and timely delivery of government services. The Commission hears appeals related to delays in public services.
It can fix accountability, summon officials and impose penalties in cases of negligence. It also recommends reforms aimed at improving citizen-centric governance.
