New Delhi, July 20(APAC Media): Bajaj General Insurance has appointed Sammeer Kulkarni as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), strengthening its leadership team as financial institutions continue to increase their focus on cybersecurity, risk management and regulatory compliance.
In his new role, he will lead the company’s information security strategy, oversee cyber risk management initiatives and support regulatory compliance across the organisation.
Before joining Bajaj General Insurance, he served as Chief Information Security Officer at Zurich Kotak General Insurance. Over the years, he has held senior information security leadership roles across the banking and insurance sectors, including Vice President – Information Security at BNP Paribas, Deputy Vice President – Information Security at IndusInd Bank, and Group Head – Information Security & IT Projects at IndiaFirst Life Insurance.
With more than 20 years of experience in information security, IT governance and cyber risk management, Kulkarni brings extensive experience in building security frameworks and managing enterprise security programmes. His appointment reflects the growing importance of cybersecurity leadership in the BFSI sector as organisations continue to strengthen digital security and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
