Smart factories, Digital Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing are now the buzz words of manufacturing sector for remote machine monitoring, optimal use of the workforce, seamless connection in every phase of the production process.
In this context, ‘APAC Manufacturing Conclave’ organized a special session on ‘Digital Disruptions in Manufacturing Sector- Smart Factories, Digital Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence’ to discuss various aspects of using emerging technologies the Manufacturing sector and the challenges, opportunities. Crux of the discussion: Digital disruptions in the era of ‘Make in India’ are playing a crucial role for the growth of the manufacturing sector. Adoption of cloud, benefits of Industry 4.0 are helping in digital transformation. However, some still think that ‘we are still far away from where the machine decides the next step to be taken.’
