New Delhi: ServiceNow, a U.S.-based digital workflow company, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide training to more than 10,000 students on the ServiceNow Platform within the first year. The partnership aims to potentially expand to 25,000 students within three years.
The collaboration seeks to offer students centralised opportunities for global learning while imparting them with forward-looking skills and capabilities. Through the partnership, students will gain access to ServiceNow Administrator and Developer courses on the Now Learning platform, along with an introduction to AI technologies.
A joint research report by ServiceNow and Pearson highlights the growing demand for upskilling and reskilling in India, particularly in AI and automation, which are projected to create 4.7 million new jobs in the tech sector while requiring 16.2 million workers to enhance their skills.
Nick Tzitzon, Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer at ServiceNow, emphasised the significance of the MoU, stating that it will enable AICTE-affiliated institutes across India to cultivate a pool of qualified talent to drive tech innovation in the country’s next wave.
Prof. (Dr) T G Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE, expressed the aim of providing students with advanced training in innovative concepts and techniques tailored to their needs. He emphasised the collaboration’s commitment to student upskilling and technological literacy, essential for future success.
