New Delhi: Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF) has partnered with the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). They have extended support to 37 Indian startups with both research and financial aid, totalling ₹9 crores in the past four years. They focus on agri-tech, clean-tech, health-tech, and green-tech. In the fiscal year 2023-24, they gave ₹2.4 crores to eight startups and five entrepreneurship-in-residence programs (EIRs). They plan to support 10 more startups this year.
This partnership aims to help startups in agri-tech, clean-tech, health-tech, and green-tech sectors by offering seed funding and research support to help tackle environmental, farming, and health problems. They also help connect startups with important people and resources like cutting-edge facilities, industry connections, and a global network of stakeholders, including High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), Angels, Venture Capitalists (VCs), and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
In the recent funding round, support was provided to health technology startups like Papyrus Diagnostics Private Limited, Akumen Artificial Intelligence, Hoyasan Labs Pvt Ltd, Cellsion Technologies Pvt Ltd, and Easescan MedTech Private Limited got funding. Also, agri-tech startups like Kaiza Tech and Green Collar Agritech, and clean technology startup Mushloop Pvt Ltd.
Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India, said, “Our core focus is not just to extend financial support but also to encourage deep science/tech research which fuels the innovative prowess of these businesses.”
