Bihar Govt. transfers 50 IAS Officers; Pankaj Kumar appointed Director, Primary Education

Patna: As part of its ongoing efforts to optimize administrative efficiency, the Bihar government has transferred as many as 50 IAS Officers, including more than a dozen district magistrates. A notification from the General Administration Department (GAD) confirmed the transfer orders.

As per the notification, IAS Pankaj Kumar (2010 batch) has been reassigned as the Director of Primary Education. He was last posted as the Collector of Sheopur.

Other prominent transfers include:

• IAS Raj Kumar (2010 batch) has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Bihar State Milk C-Operative Federation Limited (COMFED). Before this, he served as the District Collector of Bhojpur.
• IAS Nayyar Iqbal (2010 batch) has been made the Special Secretary of the Food and Consumer Protection Department. He previously served as the Director of the Mines and Geology Department.
• IAS Rakesh Kumar (2010 batch) has been given the charge of Director of Consolidation. Before this, he was the District Collector of Lakhisarai.
• IAS Vidya Nand Singh (2010 batch) will take charge as the Director of the Statistics Department.
• IAS Roshan Kushwaha (2010 batch) has been made the District Magistrate of Samastipur.
• IAS Sunil Kumar Yadav (2012 batch) has become the Additional Secretary of the Labour Resources Department.
• IAS Yogendra Singh (2013 batch) has become the Director of Secondary Education and will also hold the additional charge of Director of the Mid-day meal program.
• IAS Anand Sharma (2013 batch) and IAS Himanshu Rai (2010 batch) have been appointed Directors in the Panchayati Raj Department.
• IAS Jitendra Gupta (2013 batch) has been made the Joint Secretary of the Bihar State Planning Board.
• IAS Uditha Singh (2014 batch) will take over the post of District Magistrate of Rohtas.
• IAS Sanjay Kumar has taken charge as the Additional Secretary of the GAD, while IAS Kumar Mangalam has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Purnea Municipal Corporation. Moreover, IAS Atul Kumar Verma has become the Administrator of the Bihar Road Transport Department.
• IAS J Priyadarshani (2015 batch) has been transferred to the post of Director in the Land Reform Department.

In addition to these, 30 more IAS Officers have been reassigned to various positions across the state.
