New Delhi: The E-Gaming Federation (EGF) announced the launch of its Manthan Series, a forum designed to unite key stakeholders in the gaming industry. The series aims to drive industry conversations and discuss pivotal issues at the intersection of technology and policy in the gaming sector.
The launch of EGF Manthan aligns with the government-approved legal framework for establishing the National Center of Excellence for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (NCOE). According to EGF, India’s online gaming sector is rapidly emerging, with 442 million gamers and a projected industry valuation of INR 231 billion by FY25. This growth highlights the sector’s potential to significantly contribute to India’s digital economy and global gaming influence. In light of this, Armstrong Pame, Director, MIB, who attended the launch event, stressed the importance of the ‘Create in India Challenge’ in fostering top-tier gaming content inspired by India’s cultural heritage.
Speaking on the launch, Anuraag Saxena, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the E-Gaming Federation remarked that India’s rich diversity in language, culture, and socioeconomic dynamics offers immense innovation potential. The Manthan Series is a step towards uniting key stakeholders to explore the role of gaming beyond entertainment and employment — as a crucial part of Viksit Bharat’s vision.
