New Delhi: EaseMyTrip, an online travel platform, has expanded into medical tourism by acquiring equity stakes in two healthcare companies. The company secured a 49% stake in Dubai-based Pflege Home Healthcare and 30% in India’s Rollins International, signaling a strategic shift towards integrating wellness and healthcare services into its offerings.
Pflege Home Healthcare specializes in providing a range of home-based medical services, including doctor visits, nursing care, and physiotherapy, along with medical equipment like ventilators and oxygen supplies. With this acquisition, EaseMyTrip aims to cater to international travelers seeking medical treatments and wellness solutions abroad.
Rollins International focuses on wellness products, including gluten-free and lactose-free foods, health supplements, and wellness therapies. Its wellness centers are currently operational in major Indian cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, with plans for further expansion.
By branching into healthcare services, EaseMyTrip seeks to tap into the growing medical tourism market, offering travelers comprehensive packages that combine travel and health solutions. This move reflects the company’s broader strategy to diversify its portfolio beyond traditional travel services.
