New Delhi: The India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has donated a fully-equipped ambulance to Nongpoh Civil Hospital in Meghalaya’s Ri Bhoi District as part of its CSR initiative. This contribution aims to enhance the hospital’s ability to provide timely medical care, particularly to remote areas within the district.
The ambulance handover ceremony was led by Dr. Manan Kaushal, Independent Director of ITDC, and attended by Shri Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi District. The donation reflects ITDC’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and addressing the community’s needs.
Dr. Kaushal highlighted the importance of corporate involvement in public health initiatives, stating that the ambulance will significantly improve emergency medical services and access to healthcare for Ri Bhoi residents. The initiative is part of ITDC’s broader mission to support community well-being and development across India, particularly in underserved areas.
