Hyderabad: The Telangana government will unveil its new MSME policy on September 18, 2024, aimed at boosting the state’s micro, small, and medium enterprises. According to Jayesh Ranjan, special chief secretary for IT and industries, a key feature of the policy is a Rs 100 crore technology upgrade fund, which will focus on supporting sectors like aerospace and defence.
Ranjan, speaking at a defence and space conclave organized by CII Telangana, highlighted that 60-70% of the beneficiaries of this fund are expected to come from the state’s well-established aerospace and defence sectors. The policy, designed around the specific challenges faced by these industries, positions Telangana as a leader in offering financial support for technological advancements in manufacturing.
In addition to financial assistance, the state is also working on skills and talent development, aiming to strengthen MSMEs’ capabilities across key sectors, further enhancing Telangana’s industrial growth.
