New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PSI India, a Delhi-based non-governmental organization (NGO) to impart healthcare management education. Under the partnership, IIM Bodh Gaya has launched a two-year full-time MBA in hospital and healthcare management (HHM). The program aims to strengthen the public health sector and is designed to enhance the management of the entire healthcare industry including large corporate hospitals, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, digital health, and healthcare consulting.
As part of the MoU, subject matter experts from PSI India will deliver lectures on relevant topics in addition to providing opportunities for community immersion, internship, and final placements to the students of MBA HHM. In addition, IIM Bodh Gaya and PSI India will also organize joint research and events such as round table discussions, seminars, workshops, and conferences for knowledge-sharing, innovation, and discussions on important issues in the public health domain.
Dr Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, and Executive Director of PSI India, Mukesh Kumar Sinha, emphasized the strategic significance of this collaboration, stating that this agreement is expected to foster academic excellence and drive social impact.
PSI India is a local NGO working in the domain of program implementation, planning and policy, research and evaluation, knowledge management, and social behavior. Established in 1980 as a not-for-profit organization, it started with an aim to improve the quality of life and well-being of people. PSI India supports governments in ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare to the most downtrodden in society.
