New Delhi: Tata.ev is strengthening its charging infrastructure with new partnerships and service enhancements. Tata.ev has announced plans to expand India’s EV charging network to over 400,000 points by 2027. The initiative, part of its “Open Collaboration 2.0” strategy, aims to accelerate EV adoption by increasing accessibility to charging stations nationwide.
Expansion Through Partnerships
Since 2019, Tata.ev has worked with Tata Group companies to set up home and public charging infrastructure. Under its new initiative, the company will partner with Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to add 30,000 new public chargers. These stations will be compatible with all EV brands.
The company has signed agreements with Tata Power, ChargeZone, Statiq, and Zeon to deploy 500 high-capacity “Mega Chargers” in key cities and along highways. While these chargers will be open to all EV users, Tata.ev customers will receive priority access and pricing benefits.
New Services for EV Users
Tata.ev is introducing several new services to improve the charging experience:
Tata.ev Verified Chargers: A feature in the iRA app to help users locate reliable charging stations.
24×7 Charging Helpline: A dedicated customer support line for charging-related assistance.
Unified Payment Wallet: A single platform for making payments across different charging networks.
With EV adoption on the rise, charging infrastructure remains a critical factor for growth. Tata.ev’s expansion plan aims to meet the increasing demand and support India’s transition towards sustainable mobility.
