Bengaluru, June 8(CXO Media): Immuneel Therapeutics has raised more than Rs 100 crore in a Series B funding round to expand its CAR-T cancer therapy operations and manufacturing capabilities in India.
The Bengaluru-based biotech startup saw participation from Singularity AMC, Rainmatter by Zerodha, and several high-net-worth individuals. Existing backers, including Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Eight Roads Ventures, and F-Prime Capital also joined the round. The company had earlier raised funds through a $15 million Series A round in 2022.
The fresh capital will be used to scale up Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities, strengthen its cell and gene therapy pipeline, and support the commercial rollout of its CAR-T therapy, Qartemi. The company also plans to expand its presence in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East markets.
Immuneel focuses on developing cell and gene therapies for cancer treatment. It aims to make CAR-T therapy more accessible and cost-effective compared to global standards. The startup is also working on clinical collaborations in Australia and Southeast Asia to support future pipeline development.
Company leadership said the latest funding will help accelerate international expansion and advance next-generation therapies. The emphasis remains on building scalable manufacturing systems from India while expanding access to advanced cancer treatments globally.
The fundraise comes as Indian biotech firms increasingly attract investor interest in high-cost oncology and advanced therapy segments.
