Bhopal, June 30 (APAC Media):Â Union Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched solar power projects with a combined capacity of 950 MW in Madhya Pradesh.
This marks a major step in the state’s clean energy transition.
The projects include 500 MW solar capacity in Neemuch and 450 MW in Shajapur, significantly strengthening the state’s renewable energy infrastructure.
During the launch event, Joshi stressed that generating solar power alone is not enough and highlighted the importance of battery storage technology in ensuring grid stability, especially during nighttime and periods of high demand.
The minister also highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s progress in solar storage, stating that the state’s first solar storage project in Morena achieved the country’s lowest tariff of Rs. 2.70 per unit.
In addition to the solar project launch, Joshi laid the foundation stone for multiple industrial units and development projects worth Rs. 1,593 crore in the state.
These projects are expected to boost industrial growth, create employment opportunities, and further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s position as a key player in India’s renewable energy and industrial development landscape.
