Mandi: IIT Mandi has invited applications from Uttar Pradesh Government school students and teachers for PRAYAS 2.0, the institute’s summer camp. The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the institute is organising the summer camp that will be conducted from 5 June to 4 July 2023.
The Institute says that it aims to inspire students to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs to build skills, inspire innovation, and foster well-rounded life capabilities. Apart from learning robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), participants will also be trained on implementing and relating them to the real world, and coming up with ideas that are capable of changing the world.
Dr Tushar Jain, Head, Centre for Continuing Education, IIT Mandi, said: “Seeing the success of PRAYAS 1.0, this time we have extended this flagship program for the UP Government. A batch of 200 people including students and teachers will become a part of this event, which is fully residential and shall be trained in robotics, programming and computer, electronics and artificial intelligence. A competition will also be held at the end of the training to explore their innovation and ideas. The IIT Mandi customized robotics will be provided for the training and prototype development.”
How to Apply for IIT Mandi Summer Camp?
The registration for the summer camp has begun already and interested teachers and students will have to apply before 10 March 2023 on https://forms.gle/MbSno4YgC2CEonep6.
Based on the qualifying test, 100 students will be selected to become a part of this camp and invited to a fully residential training program at IIT Mandi. The result will be declared on 15 May 2023. After the summer camp, students will need to develop a project based on the training and a competition will be held to select the best projects.
