New Delhi: The central government recently approved the extension of service for six IAS officers serving in various ministries.
- IAS officer Sanjay Bandopadhyay, of the 1988 batch, Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been given an extension and an upgrade in the post of Chairman at the Inland Waterways Authority of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways. His position has been elevated from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary, with the term extended up to August 31, 2024.
- IAS officer Tanmay Kumar, of the 1993-batch, Rajasthan cadre, received an extension and a promotion from Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for a term up to December 3, 2024.
- 1993-batch IAS officer Rakesh Kumar Verma from the Punjab cadre, has been granted an extension and upgradation from Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism until December 5, 2024.
- IAS officer D Thara, from the 1995-batch, the Gujarat cadre, has been given an extension and upgradation in the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. Her term in the elevated position is set to continue until December 5, 2024.
- IAS officer Nagaraju Maddirala, who belongs to the Tripura cadre, from the 1993 batch, has received an extension and a promotion from Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, effective until November 2, 2024.
- 2010-batch IAS officer Harmit Singh Pahuja, from the Manipur cadre, has been granted an extension in his Central deputation tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme. His tenure, as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training, will now conclude on November 17, 2024.
