New Delhi: Health and Family Welfare Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya, announced the launch of the ‘Heal in India, Heal by India’ initiative, with the goal of extending medical facilities worldwide. Inaugurating new health facilities at central government hospitals in New Delhi, Dr. Mandaviya emphasised that India’s commitment to healthcare extends beyond its borders, rooted in the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
Highlighting the impact of initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, Dr. Mandaviya noted significant progress in promoting equality in healthcare services. The minister inaugurated the accident and emergency ward at Lady Hardinge Medical College and remotely launched a sports injury centre at Safdarjung Hospital.
Additionally, Dr. Mandaviya inaugurated new hostel blocks and an academic block at Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi. Calling on healthcare professionals to adopt a wellness approach, he highlighted the government’s unprecedented increase in MBBS, PG, and Nursing seats within a decade.
Dr. Mandaviya outlined the government’s holistic approach in the health sector, emphasising synergy between preventive healthcare and modern medical facilities.
