New Delhi: Cambridge International has planned to broaden its presence in India, targeting the addition of 1000 schools and reaching 500,000 students within the next three years. This move comes in response to the escalating demand for global educational opportunities in India and abroad, particularly in emerging cities.
Cambridge International also aims to empower 50,000 teachers with enhanced academic resources and training over the same period. This expansion is expected to significantly contribute to the approximately 10% of global revenues currently generated by Cambridge in India.
Rod Smith, Group Managing Director of International Education at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, recently announced the initiative during his visit to the country.
Moreover, Cambridge is placing a strategic focus on Early Years (EY) education, aiming to nurture holistic development through programs that cater to cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. With successful implementation in 150 schools and positive feedback, the initiative is set to expand to 750 EY schools, reflecting Cambridge’s commitment to innovation and educational excellence in India.
In addition to its educational initiatives, Cambridge University Press & Assessment (CUP&A) has announced strategic partnerships with select institutions to address English language proficiency, aligning with the demands of the global job market.
