New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 14,000 projects valued at over ₹10 lakh cr in Uttar Pradesh during the ground breaking ceremony of the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit held in Lucknow. This rapidly growing tourism sector, he noted, presents abundant opportunities for local businesses, airlines, and the hospitality industry.

The Prime Minister also discussed improvements in Uttar Pradesh’s connectivity, highlighting the inauguration of the world’s longest river cruise from Varanasi. He anticipates significant economic benefits from the upcoming Kumbh Mela in 2025, foreseeing a boost in tourism and hospitality employment.

Addressing food processing entrepreneurs, Modi advocated the “zero effect, zero defect” philosophy, urging efforts to position Indian food products on global platforms. He encouraged investment in the growing popularity of millets and advocated for partnerships between entrepreneurs and farmers. Modi reiterated support for small-scale farmers through Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and cooperative societies, envisioning agricultural advancement in tandem with business growth.

“Benefit to farmers and agriculture is good for your business too,” Modi emphasised, acknowledging Uttar Pradesh’s vital role in India’s rural economy. He expressed confidence in the state’s people and the collaborative efforts of the “double-engine government,” foreseeing a pathway to widespread progress.
