Osmanabad: RECP Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited, has finalised the transfer of two Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) created for important power transmission projects.
One SPV, Kallam Transco Limited, was set up for the “Western Region Network Expansion Scheme in Kallam area of Maharashtra,” an Inter State Transmission Project functioning under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. It has been handed over to M/s Indigrid 2 Limited & Indigrid 1 Limited (Consortium), the winning bidder.
The second SPV, Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission Limited, was formed for a project in Uttar Pradesh to build substations and associated lines. It has been handed over to The Tata Power Company Limited, the winning bidder.
The handover ceremony took place on April 5, 2024, in the presence of RECPDCL CEO Rajesh Kumar and senior officials from RECPDCL, REC Limited, Central Transmission Utility of India Limited, and Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited. RECPDCL coordinated the bidding process for both projects, which were conducted using tariffs.
