New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that Rajiv Dhankher, an Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer, has been appointed as the new director of projects and planning.
Dhankher, an IRSE officer from the 1992 cohort, has accumulated three decades of experience in a variety of critical roles, including project planning and execution. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur and his master’s degree from IIT Delhi. According to the officials, Dhankher also possesses an LLB from Delhi University and a post-graduate diploma in management from Gurugram. Prior to his appointment to the DMRC, he served as the DRM for the Ajmer division of Indian Railways. The Udaipur-Himmat Nagar railway section was commissioned during his tenure.
He has also served as the principal project manager for the Sahibabad-Ghaziabad-Duhai priority section at the NCRTC. The officials also mentioned that Dhankher was instrumental in the commissioning of the Jammu-Udhampur Rail Link Project.
