Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is set to introduce nine new policies aimed at promoting investments and fostering economic growth in the state. The policies will be launched at the Convention Hall of the Chief Minister’s Office.
The initiatives, approved during a recent Cabinet meeting, focus on sectors including MSMEs, exports, tourism, renewable energy, and animation and gaming, as part of a broader strategy to boost Rajasthan’s economic trajectory. The launch comes ahead of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, positioning the state as a potential hub for industrial and economic activity.
Key Policies:
MSME Policy-2024: This policy aims to support micro, small, and medium enterprises by offering subsidies on loans and incentives for technical upgrades and quality certifications to help local industries scale and compete globally.
Export Promotion Policy-2024: Designed to reduce logistics costs, this policy supports documentation, technical upgrades, and participation in global trade events to expand the international reach of Rajasthan’s products.
One District One Product (ODOP) Policy-2024: With a focus on promoting district-specific crafts and products, this policy includes financial aid and integrated infrastructure to support local producers.
Tourism Unit Policy-2024: The updated policy now covers 24 tourism units, encouraging investments in areas like eco-tourism and heritage restaurants to generate employment in the sector.
Integrated Clean Energy Policy-2024: Aims to position Rajasthan as a renewable energy leader by encouraging solar, wind, and green hydrogen projects.
Mineral Policy-2024: Targets growth in the mineral sector with an ambitious plan to create one crore jobs and generate ₹1 lakh crore in annual revenue by 2046.
Other Initiatives:
M-Sand Policy-2024 promotes the use of manufactured sand to reduce environmental damage from construction.
Integrated Cluster Development Scheme focuses on cluster-based development for small industries, offering access to raw materials and training facilities.
AVGC & XR Policy-2024 supports animation, gaming, and extended reality sectors, aiming to create new job opportunities.
These policies are expected to strengthen Rajasthan’s economic landscape, address employment generation, and attract investments across key sectors. Officials believe these steps will help the state build a foundation for sustainable growth and industrial development.
