Chandigarh: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Punjab government has announced the transfer and fresh postings of eleven Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across various districts and departments. The reshuffle aims to streamline policing operations and strengthen law enforcement in key regions of the state. According to the official notification, IPS Ravjot Grewal, who was serving as the Additional Inspector General (AIG), Technical Services, has now been posted as AIG, Counter Intelligence, Punjab.
The list of other transfers includes:Â
- IPS Ashwini Gotyal (2016 batch) — Transferred from AIG, Human Resource Department (HRD), Punjab to AIG, Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Punjab, SAS Nagar.
- IPS Vatsala Gupta (2016 batch) — Will continue as Commandant, 27th Battalion, PAP, Jalandhar, and will additionally hold charge as AIG, ANTF, Ludhiana.
- IPS Jasroop Kaur Batth (2020 batch) — Transferred from SP, Investigation, Jalandhar Rural to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP)-III, Amritsar.
- IPS Aditya S Warrier (2020 batch) — Moved from ADCP, Investigation, Jalandhar to Superintendent of Police (SP), Investigation, Amritsar Rural.
- IPS Vaibhav Choudhary (2020 batch) — Transferred from ASP Detective, Patiala to SP, Headquarters, Patiala.
- IPS Akarshi Jain (2020 batch) — From ASP SD Civil Lines, Ludhiana to oversee the duties of ADCP-I, Jalandhar.
- IPS Sirivennela (2021 batch) — From ASP SD Model Town, Jalandhar to look after the duties of ADCP-II, Amritsar.
- IPS Jayant Puri (2021 batch) — From ASP, 13th Battalion, PAP, Chandigarh to ADCP, Investigation, Jalandhar.
- IPS Vineet Ahlawat (2021 batch) — From ASP SD East, Amritsar to ADCP, Operations and Security, Jalandhar.
- IPS Dilpreet Singh (2021 batch) — From ASP SD Dinanagar, Gurdaspur to look after the duties of SP, Headquarters, Sangrur.
This latest reshuffle is seen as part of the government’s strategy to enhance operational efficiency and ensure better policing across the state.
