Chennai: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has announced the transfer and posting of several senior IPS officers, including IPSÂ Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar, across key positions with immediate effect.
The decision by the Tamil Nadu government aims to enhance the state’s law enforcement and administrative efficiency. As per the official notification, IPS Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar (2002 batch) has been appointed Inspector General of Police, Enforcement, Chennai.
The details of other transfers are as follows:
- IPS Seema Agrawal (1990 batch) — Appointed as Director General of Police/Director, Fire and Rescue Services, Chennai.
- IPS G. Karthikeyan (2002 batch) — Appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Chennai.
- IPS Santosh Kumar (2002 batch) — Appointed as Inspector General of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai.
- IPS Vijayendra S. Bidari (2005 batch) — Appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Chennai.
- IPS Rupesh Kumar Meena (2005 batch) — Appointed as Director General of Police, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai.
- IPS M. Sathiya Priya (2005 batch) — Appointed as Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu, Chennai.
- IPS Dr M. Durai — Transferred as Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Headquarters, Tamil Nadu.
The state government stated that the reshuffle was part of routine administrative changes to strengthen policing across Tamil Nadu.
