Mumbai, May 25 (APAC Media): The Maharashtra government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aggreko India Manufacturing Private Limited in Mumbai today.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.Â
The MoU, with a proposed investment of Rs. 400 crore over 10 years, aims to strengthen Maharashtra’s State Action Plan on Climate Change. It will do so by promoting the adoption of sustainable energy and temperature-control solutions, enabling energy-efficient practices across sectors, enhancing resilience, improving efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions.
The partnership is also expected to generate 1000 employment opportunities in different sectors. The project is expected to significantly boost Maharashtra’s industrial ecosystem by strengthening local supply chains and enabling Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to integrate with global manufacturing networks.
Aggreko, a leading energy and temperature control solutions company, focuses on energy-efficient and sustainable technologies. The company plans to support initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency across sectors, and strengthening climate resilience. Through this agreement, the company aims to support Maharashtra’s Climate Change Action Plan by promoting sustainable energy and temperature control systems aligned with the state’s long-term environmental goals.
