New Delhi, June 16(CXO Media): Xiaomi has expanded its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Redmi Turbo 5, bringing a large battery, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and long-term software support to the segment.
The new smartphone features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.
Redmi Turbo 5 Specifications
The Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor and is available with up to 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The device ships with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and Xiaomi has promised four years of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.
A major highlight of the device is its 7,540mAh battery, one of the larger batteries available in its segment. The phone supports 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging, with the charger included in the retail box.
Camera And Pricing
For photography, the Redmi Turbo 5 includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and EIS support, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 20MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The smartphone is also equipped with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, along with dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
The Redmi Turbo 5 is priced at Rs 37,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, while the 12GB+256GB model costs Rs 40,999. Sales will begin in India on June 19 through Xiaomi’s online and offline retail channels.
