New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed an agreement with Adani Power Limited to set up 3 Supercritical Thermal Power Projects in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. According to BHEL, this partnership signifies advancement in India’s power infrastructure and emphasizes BHEL’s role in the sector. The projects will be developed in Kawai, Rajasthan, and Mahan, Madhya Pradesh. The capacity of each project will be 2×800 MW and will be based on advanced Supercritical Technology.
Under the agreement, BHEL will supervise the erection and commissioning process of the three projects. It will also provide a complete set of equipment including Boilers, Turbines, Generators, and other related machinery. In addition, it will also ensure that the projects meet all operational and performance standards.
BHEL is one of India’s largest government-owned engineering and manufacturing enterprises established in 1964. It primarily focuses on producing equipment related to power generation such as turbines, boilers, and generators. It also significantly contributes to sectors like transportation, renewable energy, and industrial systems. The company has a global presence with its projects running in more than 80 countries.
