New Delhi: Nokia has partnered with Ishan Netsol Private Limited to modernize broadband infrastructure in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The initiative aims to improve broadband services for retail and enterprise customers by deploying advanced network technologies.
Technology Deployment and Upgrades
Under the collaboration, Nokia will provide its Altiplano Software-Defined Access Network (SDAN) platform, Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), and IP/MPLS transport solutions. These upgrades are designed to automate network operations, reduce service activation times, and improve overall customer experience. Nokia will also deploy its Lightspan Optical Line Terminals (OLTs), dual-band Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), 7250 IXR routers, 7750 BNG with CGNAT capabilities, and Data Center Fabric solutions to enhance Ishan Netsol’s core and transport networks.
Addressing Growing Bandwidth Demand
Ishan Netsol is focused on expanding its broadband services across urban areas in Gujarat and Maharashtra to meet the increasing demand for high-speed internet and cloud-based services. The network modernization effort is aimed at future-proofing its infrastructure to handle evolving connectivity requirements.
Training and Skill Development
As part of the agreement, Nokia will provide training programs to empower Ishan Netsol’s team to independently manage and maintain the newly deployed solutions.

Pinkesh Kotecha, Chairman and Managing Director of Ishan Netsol, highlighted the partnership’s importance in strengthening broadband capabilities for its 256,000 subscribers, including small and medium enterprises. Jivitesh Nayal, Head of Emerging Business for Network Infrastructure at Nokia India, emphasized the role of advanced network infrastructure in supporting India’s digital economy.
