New Delhi: The Atal Incubation Centre at Birla Institute of Management Technology (AIC-BIMTECH) and the Global Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create new global market access opportunities for Indian startups.
The agreement was formalised during the International Smart City Conclave held at Gautam Buddha University. Organised by GCCI, the event focused on urban innovation and brought together industry professionals, policymakers, and academic stakeholders.
Focus on Global Networks and Learning Platforms
According to details shared during the event, the partnership will focus on connecting Indian startups with international trade ecosystems in regions where GCCI operates. This includes exposure to global innovation forums, training modules designed around international business needs, and curated cross-border knowledge-sharing programmes.
Rather than acting as a standalone support initiative, the collaboration aims to co-develop events and platforms that are aligned with real-time global market trends. Business networking opportunities under this framework will also be designed to address market entry challenges faced by startups venturing into foreign geographies.
Institutional Voices on the Collaboration
Prabina Rajib, Director at BIMTECH, said the move aligns with the institute’s broader efforts to encourage entrepreneurship through experiential learning. “It contributes to building an entrepreneurial mindset grounded in knowledge exchange,” she noted.
Aashish Gupta, Co-founder of GCCI, outlined the objective from the organisation’s side as building a functional ecosystem for international cooperation. “Our role is to help startups identify the right platforms and networks needed to scale internationally,” he said during the event.
