New Delhi: IAS Sonal Mishra has been appointed as Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. She will serve in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
Mishra is a 1997-batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Gujarat cadre. She is currently posted as Additional Secretary to the Government of India and has been serving in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
An academically accomplished officer, Mishra holds an MBA in Finance from Manipal University, an LL.B. from the University of Delhi, and a BA Honours in Economics from the University of Delhi. Her educational background reflects a strong foundation in economics, finance, and law.
With her experience in skill development and central administration, Mishra is expected to bring strong leadership and policy insight to her new role in the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
