New Delhi: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has launched SAKSHAM 2.0, a major CSR skill development initiative aimed at empowering unemployed and underprivileged youth across Gorakhpur, Sindri, Dhanbad, Barauni and Begusarai.
The MoU for the program was signed at HURL’s Corporate Office, building on the success of SAKSHAM 1.0.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of HURL, along with senior officials from HURL and the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET). CIPET continues to be a key partner in driving this initiative.
SAKSHAM 2.0 will train 418 young beneficiaries in industry-relevant areas such as plastics processing, injection moulding, recycling and tool-room operations. The fully residential four-month program offers structured technical training, accommodation, certification, a monthly stipend, and industry exposure, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the learning journey.
The program places strong emphasis on employability. With CIPET’s extensive industry network, participants will receive maximum placement assistance, opening doors to meaningful career opportunities. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to socio-economic development across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
