TeamViewer, the global leader in remote connectivity and workplace digitalization, has unveiled its latest AI-powered feature, Session Insights, designed to enhance remote support and expedite decision-making.
Session Insights leverages AI to automate the summarization of support sessions, produce actionable analytics, and facilitate efficient handovers, addressing industry demand for more productive and pragmatic AI applications.
A recent survey by TeamViewer highlights a shifting perspective among IT, OT, and business leaders worldwide: 61% of decision-makers now feel the AI hype is over, underscoring a desire for technology that delivers measurable outcomes.
According to the study, 75% agree that AI is essential for increasing operational efficiency, and 69% believe it will drive a major productivity boom. The research underscores how AI, when practically applied, can reduce costs and keep companies competitive, with 26% of respondents warning that failing to adopt AI could lead to competitive disadvantages and higher operational costs.
TeamViewer’s AI-powered Session Insights is aimed at helping IT professionals save time and increase productivity, already offering an average monthly savings of 16 hours for IT teams—a promising precursor to greater efficiency gains. The tool supports resource optimization, enabling lean teams to capture and share expertise more effectively, enhance customer satisfaction, and minimize mean time to resolution (MTTR).
“AI adoption is growing rapidly as businesses increasingly recognize its tangible benefits in driving productivity and streamlining operations,” said Mei Dent, Chief Product and Technology Officer at TeamViewer. She noted that 79% of decision-makers now interact with AI weekly, up from 52% last year.
With Session Insights, TeamViewer aims to enable smarter decision-making and optimized processes while maintaining strict security standards, including encryption and company-wide policy enforcement to safeguard customer data.
TeamViewer’s new features also aim to impact Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence, providing analytics dashboards to help businesses track recurring issues, identify inefficiencies, and optimize resources. The system allows teams to improve through data-driven insights, maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly advancing AI landscape.
The survey further highlighted AI’s positive impact on career development, with 72% of respondents noting it allows them to focus on strategic work, and 73% agreeing that AI proficiency enhances career prospects.
